3/24/2016 0 Comments A day in the life of a PsychicPsychics are usually the first ones thrown under the bus when the information is incorrect and celebrated when things turn out as they predicted. Contrary to popular belief, most of us don’t have a crystal ball and cannot give lottery numbers – I have been asked, many, many times. What we do instead, is give you the bird’s eye view of your life including windows of opportunity and action steps required to manifest your dreams. If this window is missed, or the action steps not completed, nothing comes to fruition. Here is an example of what I am talking about… Shauna: “Okay, in our last session there was an amazing new job coming up and you decided to apply for the position, correct?” Client: “Well, sort of, I mean, yes, it was the dream job I had always been asking for and I haven’t heard back from them and my Angels said I would hear back in 3 weeks and I haven’t heard anything and I’m getting all worked up and what if they changed their mind and they don’t really want me for the position and what if they hired someone else?” Shauna: “Now, did you complete your action steps during that time?” Client: “Well, not really, you see I was super busy moving and then my friend came to visit and we hung out and to be honest I don’t know what the big deal was in doing some of those things so I thought I would leave it. I mean, how can connecting with the energy really help me?” Shauna: “Just so we’re clear, you didn’t do the 3 action steps including a promotional video and report the company asked for?” Client: “No, I was moving and I couldn’t find my video recorder and I just figured I could do it later after I got the job. The lady I met with was really nice so I didn’t think she would mind if I didn’t do them right away.” Shauna: “Okay, here’s the scoop - since the video and report this potential employer asked for didn’t get done within the timeframe, and, you didn’t connect with the energy of this position daily as your Angels mentioned, this job is not going to manifest for you and you’ll need to look for something else. Good news is that there is another position coming up for you. Ready to dig in?” I’m happy to report my client did find another position, moved to Victoria and has just met someone special. How does it get better?! She did all the action steps within the window of opportunity given, connected to the energy several times daily and made her dreams a reality. Making your dreams a reality takes effort, diligence and dedication. There are 3 key components:
When we get clear about what we’d like, take any action required and connect with the energy of our desire, we invite magical moments into our lives over and over. If there is something you’d like assistance with manifesting, I invite you to schedule a session with me and together we will come up with your individual game plan to achieve it and make your dreams a reality. With Love and Brilliance, Shauna

Much love, Shauna 8/4/2015 1 Comment How to zip up your energy Similar to the chakras, which are your body's energy centers, meridians are energy pathways that emit both light and electromagnetic energy. These energies are referred to as subtle energies and are the key to energy medicine and healing.
When you are feeling fearful, sad or vulnerable, you may be picking up on other people's negative thoughts and energies. The central meridian that regulates your central nervous system runs like a zipper from your pubic bone up to your bottom lip. By tracing this pathway with the more subtle energies of your hands, you can draw energy along this line and zip it up. The Zip Up will help you to feel more confident and positive about yourself and your surroundings. It will enhance your inner strengths and assist you to think more clearly. It will also shield you from negative energies and thought forms. How To "Zip Up" By Donna Eden, Energy Medicine; Tarcher/Putnam, 1998. 1. Briskly tap your K-27 point to assure that your meridians are moving in a forward direction. Tapping K-27 radiates energy out to all your meridians and gets them moving in the right direction. Your K-27 point is located just below and slightly outward of the center bumps of your collarbone. Most people will feel a slight indent here. 2. Place your hand at the bottom end of the central meridian, which is at your pubic bone. 3. Inhale deeply as you simultaneously move your hand straight up the center of your body, to your lower lip. 4. Repeat three times. This upward direction is the natural direction that the central meridian flows. By tracing it with the electromagnetic force of your hand you are literally moving the energy in the meridian and in turn the meridian is strengthening you. The central meridian is closely attuned with your thoughts and emotions. Therefore, you can zip up as often as you wish, just remember to breathe in deeply and with strong intent. You will immediately begin to feel centered, grounded and in your own power. While you are tracing the central meridian, you may wish to add an affirmation such as "I am safe, centered and protected". You may also want to imagine turning and locking the zipper in place in order to create a more powerful and prolonged effect. Every day, we are constantly bombarded with energies that drain us of our own energy and vitality. So, before you go out, don't forget to zip up! 5/21/2015 0 Comments My Angels don't hear me! Many clients come to see me feeling frustrated that they are not able to manifest everything they would like to. Some even manifest in areas they aren’t actively trying while struggling to make things work in the areas they really focus on. I had one client say, “My Angels don’t hear me!” I reassured her that they hear everything and it’s usually our mixed signals, second-guessing and impatience that throw off our requests.
Here are some tips for how you can develop and strengthen your communication with your Angels. 1. Be specific – we confuse our Angels when we ask for one thing and then change our minds to something else and then revert back to our original request. Instead, be very specific about what you are asking for. It may be easier to focus on one or two things to start with and when you have successfully manifested them, pick another area to work on. You want to be like a laser on this one and really focus. 2. Use the best language so your Angels are crystal clear on your request. Such as – for my highest and best good, this or something better, with ease and grace, bring me the right opportunity (time, person, house, etc.) I recently manifested the perfect house for my family. I asked for and affirmed: bring us the right house on the right street, for the right price, right timing, with the right neighbors and the right kids for my daughter to play with, on a corner lot with beautiful landscaping. Every day I would repeat my request and thank my Angels. I asked them to let me know, clearly, when the right house was available for us. I was doing dishes when I heard, “Check the MLS.” I put down what I was working on and went to my computer. Sure enough, our house was just listed and my Angels hit it out of the park! Thank you, Angels! 3. Worrying is like taking your request back from your Angels and thinking you can do it better. Um, this is the all- expansive, ever-knowing Universe and do we really think we can do it better? Think of it this way, you know how a cake doesn’t bake any faster if we watch it intensely, tap our foot waiting, yell at it, question it? It will be done when it’s done, in the right time so why not make some tea and watch The Voice while it’s doing its thing? When you ask for something from your Angels it’s important to let it go and let them work their magic for you and TRUST that you will receive what you asked for, or something better, in the right time in a way that is right for you. 4. Our Angels often communicate with us through our visual gifts. You may see sparkles of light, repeating numbers or a picture flash in your mind. Why not utilize this gift with your requests? Give your Angels a picture to work with and keep affirming and visualizing your request, or dream, working out beautifully. This works with vision boards – a svelte body, a new car, dream vacation, money – connect to the energy of these things and feel how much fun and enjoyment they will bring while you picture them in your mind. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. 5. Keep an open mind. I can’t stress this enough. You’ve asked for Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome with blue eyes and your Angels found him, BUT, he has hazel eyes. Or, I had a client who liked really tall men but had missed 3 fabulous men her Angels lined up all because they were not as tall as she expected. In fact, one was her soul mate who was just shy of 6 feet and she turned down a date with him! Meanwhile she’s still lonely and looking for Mr. Right. So, keep an open mind and have fun when the Angels start bringing more of the right manifestations into your awareness. Notice synchronicity, new people you are drawn to, new adventures and spontaneous ideas. Your Angels are always communicating with you. If you’d like some additional help to come up with a personalized game plan, book a session with me and I’ll help you get clear about what you’d like to manifest and we’ll come up with a plan to enlist your Angels to get you there with ease and grace. 5/15/2015 0 Comments Spiritual Pit Stop Spiritual Pit Stop
Watching a NASCAR race I marvelled at the driver's exceptional skill in manoeuvring the car at such high speeds but the thing that caught my attention was the Pit Stop. Within minutes the car receives gasoline, a change of tires, and any other service or repair needed plus water and snacks for the driver. Just like a magical whirlwind, these mechanical genies fly around, over and inside the car. Next thing you know they all step back and the tires squeal and leave a trail of smoke behind as the driver rejoins the race. Without the incredible skill of the Pit Stop genies, no race would ever be complete. Recently, my guides have described my meditation practice as a Spiritual Pit Stop; a necessary component to assist, fuel and support me in living my life with joy and balance. Without making the time in my day for my Spiritual Pit Stop, I get run down, cranky and disconnected so I have learned to make this a priority each and every day. Some days I get myself into my Spiritual Pit Stop on fumes and my guides quickly repair and replenish my energy, and usually my resolve that I have what it takes to master anything that comes my way. With my newly replenished energy, I am ready to tackle my life again. Other days I fly sideways into my Spiritual Pit Stop covered with the remnants of an out-of-control day and my guides are quick to calm me down, recharge my batteries and any other spiritual service I may need so that I can not only tackle my life again but enjoy it in the process. They shower me with support, acceptance and unconditional love. Your Spiritual Pit Stop is truly an individual exploration and a beautiful, sacred time. I encourage you to visit your Spiritual Pit Stop every day. You may do guided meditations, breath work, mantras, prayers or listen to relaxing music or singing bowls. There is no right or wrong way to connect with your guides. And, on the days you aren't sure what you need simply quiet your mind and ask for help. Think of your guides and angels as your Spiritual Pit Stop genies. They will help you recharge, become enlightened, healed, unburdened, informed, filled with love and light and whatever else you may need to meet your goals and dreams head on and finish what you set out to complete in your life.
10/18/2014 0 Comments What is a Mediumship Reading?A Mediumship Reading is an opportunity for you to connect with your loved ones who have crossed over. I provide a voice for your loved ones to communicate with you. I will spend a few minutes making sure you are relaxed and comfortable and I will explain how I receive the information from your loved ones.
Each session also includes intuitive guidance giving you direction on the past, present and future of your life. I may see, hear, feel, know or even smell the information your loved ones would like me to share. It is the client’s job to interpret how the meaning or information is significant and it can be a bit like piecing together a puzzle. Here are some of the types of things you may hear in a reading: Characteristics – This can be things about your loved one such as:
What a Medium experiences during a reading Let’s pretend you would like to connect with your Grandpa George who died.
Things to keep in mind for your reading: Grandpa George is still Grandpa George. Did you know that when we’re in spirit, our personality doesn’t change? So, if your Grandpa George was funny while he was here on the earth plane, he’ll have that same sense of humor when he communicates from the other side. If your loved one was very quiet or serious, that personality will also shine through. If Grandpa George didn’t know how to manage his money, and you wouldn’t have asked him tax advice while he was living… guess what? He still won’t be able to answer your questions about taxes. You do not need to wait a certain amount of time before seeing a medium: I have done readings for clients the same week their loved ones have crossed over. Often times our loved ones in spirit are eager to communicate with loved ones left behind to reassure them that they are at peace on the other side. Your Loved One May Not Come Through Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that your loved one in heaven will come through during your session. While I do my very best to connect with the loved ones you are wanting to come forward, I am not in control of Spirits on the other side. If you are planning to have a reading, you can think about your loved one before your appointment. Some clients will even ask their loved one to be at the reading with them. All Readings are Different Some loved ones give lots of details that may include first names and dates while others step in the room so you can feel their energy with you. Please do not wait to hear a specific or exact phrase from your loved ones as it may not be important to them and they are working hard to communicate what they feel is most important for you during your session. Each and every session is different. If you do not understand the information being received, please write it down and check the information with your family. Please keep an open mind and listen to the information coming through so you can have a positive session. Questions Please write them down and bring them with you to your session. It is common to get lost in the emotions and forget what you wanted to ask. A Mediumship Reading can be life changing and will often give us more to consider about life after death. Many are greatly comforted knowing that their loved ones are safe and at peace and that they are guiding, encouraging and loving them from the other side. Above all else, I want you to know that you are loved and lovable. You will learn this from my words and actions–the lessons on love are in how I treat you and how I treat myself. I want you to engage with the world from a place of worthiness. You will learn that you are worthy of love, belonging, and joy every time you see me practice self-compassion and embrace my own imperfections. We will practice courage in our family by showing up, letting ourselves be seen, and honoring vulnerability. We will share our stories of struggle and strength. There will always be room in our home for both. We will teach you compassion by practicing compassion with ourselves first; then with each other. We will set and respect boundaries; we will honor hard work, hope, and perseverance. Rest and play will be family values, as well as family practices. You will learn accountability and respect by watching me make mistakes and make amends, and by watching how I ask for what I need and talk about how I feel. I want you to know joy, so together we will practice gratitude. I want you to feel joy, so together we will learn how to be vulnerable. When uncertainty and scarcity visit, you will be able to draw from the spirit that is a part of our everyday life. Together we will cry and face fear and grief. I will want to take away your pain, but instead I will sit with you and teach you how to feel it. We will laugh and sing and dance and create. We will always have permission to be ourselves with each other. No matter what, you will always belong here. As you begin your Wholehearted journey, the greatest gift that I can give to you is to live and love with my whole heart and to dare greatly. I will not teach or love or show you anything perfectly, but I will let you see me, and I will always hold sacred the gift of seeing you. Truly, deeply, seeing you. 8/2/2014 0 Comments Standing in Your Power “You just listen to your own heart. That is your only teacher.” OSHO
Being a Lightworker is a sacred journey. A Lightworker works in integrity, has mastered his or her craft and loves to share this with the world. An honest, integral Lightworker will never take away your power, make you feel small, or see you as dollar signs when you walk in the door. Recently, I experienced a Lightworker who was not working in integrity. I had trusted this person, had shared details about my life with this person and in the end felt ripped off. My frustration grew as I wondered how she slipped by my radar. In recent weeks, I’ve also heard from other friends who have had less-than-life-enhancing experiences so I decided to write about it with the intention of creating more awareness that these people are out there and how to avoid them altogether. How to tell if someone is integral, well-trained and working from the Light: You get a good feeling when you talk with them; they really know their stuff and openly share. Your vibes resonate with theirs. (There are no red flags from your intuition) They have credentials, training and a thriving practice. They answer any questions you have with ease. They make the session 100% about you. (Integrity at its best) You don’t feel pushed to book a session with them. And, if they cannot help you they will direct you to who can. Now the other side… Lightworkers who are not in integrity sound or behave like this: “I’m a higher level being than you are and I’m 100% accurate.” “If you open your heart to me and tell me you really love me our session will be amazing.” “Align your energies, cells and guides with mine.” (Run, I mean run if you ever hear this) “I have some amazing information for you but you’ll need to book a session with me so I can tell you more.” They use bizarre phrases or chants. (And I’m not referring to Om Mani Padme Hum) Will often attempt to correct your thought processes to help you see the “better way”. They put down other Lightworkers and see them as out of integrity. (Laughing as I type this) No credentials and they claim to read a lot and have no need for training or classes. They physically touch you inappropriately. There is NO energetic healing modality (reiki, bodytalk, craniosacral) that would require the client to be completely naked or touched inappropriately for healing to occur. And, the best one I’ve heard lately… “I’m getting you have information for me”. – During a session I paid for! It happened to me. I went to see a woman who I heard other people rave about. She was engaging, charming and very friendly. After the first time I met her I remember driving home wondering if she was legitimate. Something just felt off and the next few times I saw this woman, socially or otherwise, I was given more insight into who she really was. My girlfriend and I decided to take a class this woman was offering and then it got really interesting. Half way through the class, my friend asked the woman if she had trained with this particular organization in another city and this woman quickly replied “Yes”, with a big smile on her face. My girlfriend looked at me with a concerned look and got really quiet. Turns out the organization this woman trained with was a known cult and completely lacking integrity and causing great harm to unsuspecting participants. My friend and I were sure to unravel our energy from this woman and have never heard from her since – thank you Universe. Tips to Stand in Your Power Trust your gut – even in a group setting – it only takes one voice to make a change. Speak up for your beliefs – especially when they are minimized or challenged. Disconnect from those who want you be something you’re not. If you feel uncomfortable during a session get up and leave. Ask your own inner guidance these 3 questions before booking with any practitioner: Is this the right practitioner for me? Is this the right time for me to have this session or treatment? Is this the right modality or treatment for me? Find your voice and speak up especially when it's uncomfortable. When you stand in your power, and are true to yourself, you will inspire others to do the same. Until you stand in your power, you will continue to have these experiences. When you stand up for yourself, the Universe will align you with integral, honest Lighworkers who work from their heart. Always stand in your power. 7/6/2014 0 Comments Tree Horoscope for summer Summer holds a beautiful display of trees in bloom, bursting with new life. It is a time to come out of our winter mindset and let the sunshine in. You could start by clearing out the closets, the refrigerator, and if you’re really interested in making way for new life, the basement, garage, and underneath the bathroom sink; getting rid of everything that no longer has a useful purpose, or uplifts your energy. I usually start in the closets – sorting old clothes and jackets. The shoes are next as I eagerly anticipate wearing my sandals again. Can it be recycled, donated, or composted? Be ruthless in your efforts to clear away the old and gain new, vibrant energy circulating into your life. I also go through gifts and only the ones I absolutely love remain in my home. I lovingly release everything that I am removing for the next person to enjoy. Your personal environment mirrors your inner state on every level; mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual; so why not make room for what you really love? When we clear away old, outdated belongings, and the energy that goes with them, we instantly uplift our emotions and wellbeing. When we make room for what we really love, our creative juices start flowing and the universe meets us halfway. We make room to plant the new; new thoughts, new ideas, new feelings and new beauty all around us. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz Part I - Be Impeccable with Your Word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
This means avoiding gossip, lies, empty promises and other ways we cause problems with our words. Say only what you mean, and realize that you can cause damage if you're not careful with what you say. Even a white lie falls under this agreement as it is not the truth. This is not to say you are to be blunt and rude with your words, toward others or about yourself, but thoughtful and considerate instead. Remember, whatever you put out into the Universe will come back to you in some form so why not send positive, uplifting words instead? Gossip - A person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others. Reporting - Give a spoken or written account of something that one has observed, heard, done, or investigated. There is a difference between gossiping and reporting - this is a great tool to use when learning to decipher our words. Gossiping has an undermining flavor to it while reporting is neutral and sounds more like talking about the weather. Reporting: "Mary Ellen is looking for a new job". Gossiping: "Mary Ellen is such a lazy slob that she won't find a new job". See the difference? The other day I was visiting someone and they were going on and on about this other person - how lazy they are, how they do not work. Just as I changed the subject, this other person, who was being gossiped about, walked up and joined us! My inner cosmic police officer was itching to say something but instead I finished up the conversation and left. The woman gossiping got really quiet that's for sure. Many of us do not realize the power of our words or see the harm that can be caused from speaking carelessly, thoughtlessly or aggressively about others. A wonderful reminder: think about the words you plan to say and STOP if you know you wouldn't say it to the person if they were standing in front of you. 1/11/2014 0 Comments Living Wholeheartedly My world changed seven years ago when an accident ripped through everything I thought I knew about myself and my life. Chronic pain and depression were daily acquaintances and some days I wasn’t able to get out of bed to care for myself, let alone my daughter. It was during this time that I began to ask: “Why me? Why did this have to happen?” and more profoundly, “What is that nasty voice in my head?”
Some changes look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge. ~ Eckhart Tolle Living with chronic pain is like having a full time Ego Sergeant in your head. My emotions were all over the map; I was exhausted from the injuries; and lived with an incessant stream of negativity filling my mind: “How can you take care of your baby?” “What will people think?” “You’re not going to get better.” And the debilitating – “You’re not a good mother.” On my good days, I began reading everything I could find on the Ego, shame, our belief structures, and living vulnerably. I dug deep inside myself with much support from the people in my life, including health practitioners. I looked into my ‘whys’ and ‘what the hells’, and I began to notice my world change. My relationships began to take on a deeper meaning: my marriage welcomed more intimacy and connection; my parenting became more relaxed, and dare I say, spontaneous and fun. I started to just sit and BE with Emma without my eye on the clock, looking at my computer, or reading a magazine; I would simply sit with her and remind myself that she is a little girl, and sees the world from a totally different perspective than I do. I gave myself permission to be silly, laugh about farts and try to catch butterflies with her in the backyard. I would even let her see me upset on my off days and accepted her offer to help me feel better and wipe the tears away with a hug. I have a drawer full of cards and pictures she has made over the years. My favourite is the one where we are NOT crying because we are so happy. I gave myself permission to just BE and realized that all she really wanted was for me to hang-out with her and spend time with her. I was learning to love a baby girl and myself at the same time. Every day I would repeat the following mantra: I surrender and release Ego control and ask for my God-self to merge with me and assist me with my highest good. After working with this daily mantra, I began to understand that I was not the critical condescending voice in my head and that I could change my thoughts and tap into my intuition and Higher-Self more easily. The teachings from Brene Brown were, and continue to be, an undeniable guidepost for my quest to learn more and be the best version of myself for me, my family and my life. The first time I read her piece called “The Wholehearted Parenting Manifesto”, I cried. I slid down to the floor and cried. Some of the tears were for the years I felt I missed with Emma because of the accident. Some were for me and how hard I had been on myself by judging myself as an ineffective parent based on my Ego’s rantings and my upbringing. And finally, some helped wash away the old to make room for the new. The first few statements of the manifesto ignited my Ego and the small hurts inside my heart: “Above all else, I want you to know that you are loved and loveable. You will learn this from my words and actions – the lessons on love are in how I treat you and how I treat myself.” “I want you to engage with the world from a place of worthiness. You will learn that you are worthy of love, belonging, and joy every time you see me practice self-compassion and embrace my own imperfections.” “We will practice courage in our family by showing up, letting ourselves be seen, and honouring vulnerability. We will share our stories of struggle and strength. There will always be room in our home for both.” What a refreshing and timely viewpoint on life, parenting, and happiness. I desperately want my daughter to KNOW she is loved and loveable – that there is nothing wrong with her. I grew up thinking there was something wrong with me and this is NOT a belief I want my daughter to have, nor something I want her Ego to feast on! I was astounded, and relieved, to learn that by “embracing my own imperfections” I would assist Emma with her own practice of self-compassion and worthiness. The last line of “The Wholehearted Parenting Manifesto” is what I wish for every child to experience and know in their heart: “I will not teach or love or show you anything perfectly, but I will let you see me, and I will always hold sacred the gift of seeing you. Truly, deeply seeing you.” The greatest ego lessons I have learned are that the ego wants to keep us from living in the now and believing that we are all separate when nothing could be further from the truth. We are all connected in this beautiful mosaic we call life and surrounded by love; if only we open our hearts to the callings and the true magic of our lives found in every moment. This work hangs in my office as a reminder that I do not have to be perfect all the time, and to stop judging myself and trying to live-up to a crazy and unattainable idea of the perfect mother. Thankfully, my Ego is learning along with me. Many blessings, Shauna Chandler 8/15/2013 0 Comments Stages of your EgoLower Stage
Ego is fully engaged - focused on other's truth High Ego is power hungry, self absorbed, focuses on external image, needs validation from others, blames/condemns others in order to boost self, competitive. Low Ego has no power, is codependent, is lost and confused, plays the martyr, feels like it never gets what it deserves - life isn't fair, constant worrying and feelings of lack, doubts and puts self down. You can ask yourself when you find your thoughts/feelings here: Do I want to be right or do I want to be happy? Is this thought/feeling from my inner truth or someone else - society, parents, peers? Ask for help - Angels, please give me a different perspective on this. Thank you. Middle Stage We become an observer of our thoughts and feelings and begin to ask – is this my truth or their truth? Thoughts and feelings: You begin to notice ego thoughts and reactions and your higher self thoughts and reactions. You start questioning where these thoughts and feelings have come from. You are building strength in this stage. It will take practice and some days you will be able to distinguish the thoughts and feelings quickly and clearly and other days not as much. A good practice is to take a moment before reacting. Remember, your ego has been protecting you against everything it could for a long time so it will take practice to tame it. Stay neutral – anger will get your ego fired up and telling it to shut up often results in it retreating for a while only to come out when you are not expecting it. You ego is like a small child so once again staying neutral is your best option. Listen to your inner guidance – ask yourself, “How would my Higher Self or Love respond to this?” Ask your Angels to show you your truth and give you the realization of when your ego is engaged. Top Stage You are connected to your highest version of yourself, otherwise known as your Higher Self. The focus becomes - my truth. Thoughts/feelings become: How may I best serve? How may I share my gifts? Thoughts and feelings are: Joy, Love, Compassion, Peace, Forgiveness Deepak Chopra calls them Divine Emotions: Love, Kindness, Joy, Compassion and Equanimity (being kind or friendly to those around us) Affirm: I surrender and release ego control and ask for my God self to merge with me and assist me with my highest good.
